Role: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Client: Tier 1 - Main contractor
Essentials: 2+ years' experience in a QS or AQS role in construction: Degree or Higher Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics
Location: Sites across Dublin
Salary & Package: €40,000 - €50,000 DOE
Progression: Intermediate QS
Reporting to: Senior QS
A leading Irish main contractor is hiring an AQS to join a busy commercial team. You'll support end-to-end commercial delivery across live projects — from procurement and subcontractor management through to valuations, CVRs and cost reporting.
What you'll do
- Assist with take-offs, tender documentation and subcontract procurement
- Review quotations, prepare tender comparisons and identify scope gaps
- Prepare monthly client applications and assess subcontractor payment claims
- Upload approved payments to SAP and maintain payment records
- Support monthly CVR preparation, cashflow forecasting and commercial reporting
- Manage variation registers, change control and commercial correspondence
- Maintain accurate records on SharePoint
What you'll need
- Degree or Higher Diploma in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics
- 2+ years' experience in a QS or AQS role in construction
- Strong grasp of contracts, procurement and commercial principles
- Proficient in Excel; SAP experience is a plus
- Detail-oriented, organised and confident communicating with stakeholders
