IT Support Administrator
Are you an IT support professional looking to grow your career in a dynamic environment? Abtran is seeking an ICT Support Administrator to provide high-quality 1st and 2nd line IT support, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and assisting with IT asset management.
This role is perfect for someone with 2 to 3 years of experience who enjoys troubleshooting, supporting end-users, and maintaining IT systems.
This is an onsite role based in our offices in Mahon, Cork.
Please note that candidates must be currently residing in Ireland to be eligible for this role. Applications from outside Ireland will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support, resolving technical issues efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and support Windows 10 operating systems and applications.
- Assist with user management in Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
- Support Microsoft Intune for device security and compliance.
- Handle IT service requests via ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or ManageEngine.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, Wi-Fi).
- Oversee the issuing, tracking, and receipt of IT assets, ensuring accurate records.
- Maintain IT inventory, including hardware tracking and lifecycle management.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive IT support experience.
- Document troubleshooting steps, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with senior IT colleagues to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Assist with IT security initiatives, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Skills & Experience Required
- 2 to 3 years of experience in an IT support or service desk role.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in Windows 11 environments.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, Wi-Fi).
- Experience with IT asset management, including issuing and tracking devices.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, JIRA, or ManageEngine.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to IT issues.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to support users at all levels.
- Ability to document processes and create user-friendly guides.
Desirable Certifications
While not required, the following certifications are highly desirable:
- CompTIA A+ or similar IT support certification.
- Microsoft 365 Certified (Modern Desktop Administrator or similar).
- Cloud certification: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals.
