Key Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all storage, delivery, and bar areas
Empty and clean bottle skips and ensure empty crates are stored neatly
Ensure bins are out in advance of scheduled collection days and returned thereafter
Organise returnable stock and kegs safely on designated pallets and storage areas
Sweep and mop delivery bays, storerooms, pre-arrival areas and function bars to maintain hygiene standards
Remove rubbish, empty boxes and unused crates from all storage locations
Receive, check, and sign for deliveries, ensuring stock is stored correctly and efficiently
Stock pre-arrival and function bar areas and ensure all items are fully prepared for service
Ensure bottles are sealed correctly and maintain clean, organise storage areas
Maintain, tidy and secure storerooms, ensuring doors remain locked when unattended
Follow HACCP food safety regulations, including checking and recording delivery temperatures
Ensure food deliveries are stored correctly and packaging waste disposed of promptly
Assist with inventory control procedures, stock rotation, and regular stock counts
Collaborate with department heads to support procurement and supply requirements
Help maintain accurate inventory records and organise supplies in designated storage areas
Support cost control measures by minimising waste and maintaining efficient stock levels
Build positive working relationships with suppliers, vendors, and hotel departments
Assist in ensuring all procured goods meet hotel quality standards and specifications
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, stock movement, and inventory levels
Support emergency preparedness procedures by ensuring essential supplies are available when required
Attend training sessions and comply with hotel policies, health & safety procedures and ethical standards
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a similar role essential
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced hospitality environment
Knowledge of stock control, procurement and inventory management procedures
Familiarity with HACCP regulations and safe food handling practices
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Good PC skills
Ability to work flexibly across a 40-hour week, including weekends and varying shifts
