Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable Window Fitter to join our installation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fitting, repairing, a variety of windows, doors, and glazing products in properties. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to quality workmanship while complying with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install windows, doors, and other glazing products according to technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Remove old or damaged units and prepare openings for new installations.
- Measure and cut materials to size, ensuring accurate fitting.
- Seal and weatherproof all installations to the highest standard.
- Carry out repairs and adjustments to existing fittings when required.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Liaise with customers on-site, maintaining a professional and courteous manner.
- Adhere to all Irish health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience not required but helps the applicant
- Competent in measuring, cutting, and installing a variety of window and door types
- Understanding of insulation, and weatherproofing techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Drivers license
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Safe Pass card.
- Manual Handling certification.
Physical Requirements
- Comfortable working at heights and on ladders/scaffolding.
- Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy glass units and frames.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
