Join our award-winning team at FIRE Steakhouse & Bar as a Senior Host / Hostess. As a senior member of our front-of-house team, you’ll play a key role in creating an exceptional guest experience from the moment our guests arrive.
You’ll be responsible for leading the reception experience, managing the flow of service, supporting the wider floor team, and ensuring every guest receives a warm, polished, and professional welcome.

Salary: €18–€20 p/h (€15 p/h plus service charge)

What you’ll do:
- Lead the reception and guest welcome experience, setting the standard for warm and professional service
- Greet, welcome, and seat guests with confidence and attention to detail
- Oversee reservations, walk-ins, table allocation, and guest flow throughout service
- Act as a key point of contact between the reception and floor teams to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Support and guide hosts and reception team members during service
- Handle guest requests, queries, and feedback confidently and professionally
- Monitor the overall guest experience and take ownership of resolving issues where appropriate
- Maintain strong knowledge of menus, restaurant operations, reservations, and current offerings
- Anticipate guest needs and ensure high standards are maintained from arrival through departure
- Assist the management team with the smooth running of service, particularly during busy periods
- Maintain an organised, polished and welcoming reception area at all times
- Support the team in delivering consistently high standards of hospitality
The Ideal Senior Host / Hostess:
- 2+ years’ experience in a host, hostess, receptionist, or similar front-of-house role within a high-quality restaurant or hospitality environment
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory capacity is highly desirable
- A confident and personable presence with a genuine passion for hospitality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm, composed, and solutions-focused under pressure
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities during busy service
- Confident making decisions and taking ownership of the guest experience
- A natural team player who is comfortable supporting and guiding colleagues
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of presentation
- Fluent English required
- Previous experience in a premium or high-volume restaurant environment is an advantage
Pay: €18.00-€20.00 per hour
