We are a Montessori school based in Green Acre Grange, Kilmacud Road Upper, Dundrum. This position will suit someone who is passionate about introducing the world to our little kiddies through the Montessori environment. We seek someone who is prepared to provide a safe, secure and healthy environment for the care, safety and welfare of children. This person must be organised, have clear communication skills and have a genuine caring nature. Successful candidates will be called for interview and must be willing to undergo reference checks and garda vetting. The position is a full time position – 40 Hours per Week – Monday to Friday.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Guide and nurture children in a Montessori classroom environment, respecting each child's pace and learning style.
- Prepare and maintain a rich and stimulating learning environment that fosters independence and self-directed learning.
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized lesson plans that align with Aistear, Siolta and Montessori principles.
- Foster social, emotional, and academic growth by encouraging collaboration, problem-solving, and respectful communication.
- Regularly assess and monitor each child’s development, providing feedback and working closely with parents.
- Support the social and emotional well-being of students, promoting a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Be a part of a team who support the wider class dynamic and development which includes children that have been approved for AIM support.
- Adhering to company policies, procedures and operational practices at all times ensuring positive working relationships are developed and maintained with children, staff, parents and carers.
- Good communication skills. Fluency in both spoken & written English is essential.
- Observe, guide, supervise, and asses children while they learn in the classroom environment.
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, stimulating classroom where all children feel safe and valued.
- Establish and build a positive relationship with children, their families and your Co-workers.
- Participate in school events.
Requirements:
- Hold a Level 7 or 8 qualification in Montessori Education (minimum of a Level 6 in Early Education is required)
- At least one year experience with the Irish Curriculum/ Framework. Good understanding of the national frameworks of Aistear and Síolta.
- Be passionate and have experience with the Montessori method.
- Certificates in Children First, First Aid, Manual Handling or HACCP is preferred.
