Head Chef – East Village Coffee, Dublin
Salary: €38,000–€45,000 DOE
East Village Coffee is looking for an exceptional Head Chef to lead our kitchen and help shape the next chapter of one of Dublin's busiest and most respected neighbourhood cafés.
This is a hands-on leadership role, perfect for an experienced chef who is ready to take ownership of a creative kitchen while enjoying the work-life balance that comes with a predominantly daytime operation.
We're looking for someone who has the experience, leadership and passion to drive our food offering forward while inspiring a small, dedicated kitchen team.
What we're looking for
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior kitchen position within a high-quality kitchen.
- Proven experience leading and developing a team.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety management.
- Experience with food costing, GP management and stock control.
- Staff management, recruitment and rostering experience.
- Confidence in menu development and seasonal planning.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A passion for modern café food and an understanding of current brunch trends in Ireland and internationally.
The Role
As Head Chef, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen while working closely with management to continue building on East Village Coffee's reputation for exceptional food.
You'll have genuine creative input and the opportunity to lead the evolution of our menu, using seasonal ingredients and keeping ahead of emerging brunch and café trends. We're looking for someone who enjoys innovation but also understands consistency, quality and efficient kitchen operations.
This is a hands-on position where you'll lead by example, mentor your team and ensure every service reflects the standards our customers have come to expect.
