Corrib House Tea Rooms & Guest Accommodation is an award-winning Boutique Café and Guesthouse overlooking the River Corrib and Salmon Weir in Galway city. We are known for exceptional hospitality, high-quality brunch and coffee, and beautifully restored Georgian interiors.
We are currently seeking an experienced Full-Time Front of House Assistant to join our team. This role combines café service with boutique guesthouse hospitality and suits someone who enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering an outstanding guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing warm, friendly and professional service to all guests
- Taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Serving food and drinks to a high standard
- Preparing barista-quality coffee and beverages
- Maintaining excellent cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the café and guest areas
- Assisting with guest check-ins and check-outs
- Communicating with overnight guests to ensure a smooth and enjoyable stay
- Handling customer queries confidently and professionally
- Supporting the team with daily opening and closing duties
- Ensuring attention to detail in all aspects of service and presentation
This is a hands-on hospitality role in a busy, quality-focused environment.
Requirements (Essential)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar hospitality, café, restaurant or hotel role
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, professional and well presented
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good teamwork and reliability
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Fluent English
- Barista experience is an advantage, but training can be provided.
- Experience in a guesthouse, boutique hotel, or accommodation setting is highly desirable.
Availability Requirements
This is a full-time position and candidates must be available to work weekdays as well as some weekends.
This role is not suitable for applicants who are only available weekends or who are seeking casual/college-schedule hours.
Typical shifts are daytime hours, including mornings and afternoons.
