Position: Night Porter / Public Areas Cleaner & Glass Collector
Hours: 4 nights per week - 2 nights as Night Porter and 2 evening/nights as Public Areas Cleaner & Glass Collector
Reports to: Duty Manager / Hotel Manager
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and friendly team member to join our night team. The role will involve working two nights as a Night Porter and two evening/nights carrying out public area cleaning and glass collection, helping to ensure the hotel is clean, safe and welcoming for guests at all times.
Night Porter Duties - 2 Nights Per Week

Welcome and assist guests arriving or departing during the night.

Carry out night-time security and safety checks throughout the property.

Monitor the hotel and respond appropriately to guest requests or emergencies.

Complete night audit or basic administrative duties as required.

Prepare public areas and facilities for the following day.

Carry out light cleaning and tidying duties.

Set up breakfast or other areas as required.

Ensure doors, lights and equipment are checked and secured where necessary.

Report any maintenance, security or guest issues to the Duty Manager.
Public Areas Cleaner & Glass Collector - 2 Evening/Nights Per Week

Clean and maintain hotel public areas to a high standard.

Clean lobbies, corridors, toilets, stairways and other guest areas.

Collect and clear glasses, bottles and other items from public areas.

Keep bars, lounges and surrounding areas clean and presentable.

Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and correctly.

Restock cleaning and guest supplies as required.

Deal promptly with spills and any cleaning issues.

Assist with keeping the hotel presentable throughout the evening and night.

Follow all hotel cleaning, health and safety procedures.

Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.

Friendly and professional with a strong customer-service attitude.

Comfortable working late evenings and overnight.

Has good attention to detail and takes pride in their work.

Physically able to stand, walk and carry out cleaning and glass collection duties for extended periods.

Able to remain calm and professional when dealing with guests.

Previous hotel, hospitality, cleaning or night porter experience is desirable but not essential.

Good communication skills and a willingness to be part of a team.
