What we are: A pottery painting studio in Dublin City where people can paint their own unique pottery pieces. Pieces are left in the studio after being painted then glazed & fired in our kiln which reaches 1000+ degrees. Once finished, customers are notified and a collection time for them is organized.
What is needed: Assistant for busy ceramics business in Dublin with an immediate start.
Who we are looking for: A person who is outgoing, organized and reliable to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, work as part of a team, work in a busy environment and also be able to have the craic!
Person must be available evenings and weekends.
Art experience or interest is essential for this role.
A strong level of English is required for this role.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations: Ensuring the studio is organized, quick thinking & problem solving while maintaining high standards of the ceramics business and ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Admin & Collections: Help team manage the collection of hundreds of pieces a week, taking bookings, reviewing refunds, replying to customer emails promptly.
- Stock & Inventory: Keeping on top of stock for ceramic pieces, painting materials, etc & placing orders promptly.
- Customer Service: Be able to facilitate professional friendly service, addressing any concerns or complaints, while having craic and banter, as well as providing clear instructions for attendees in the studio.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the team of artists and hosts to ensure smooth running.
- Kiln: Assist team with unloading kilns, waxing and glazing.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in hospitality
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing & Interact with customers, staff, and vendors (ENGLISH)
- Maintain effective working relationships with employees and range of diverse customers
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks and maintain extreme organization in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge in pottery/ceramics or ceramic techniques is desirable, although not essential as full training will be given
