Kitchen Porter - Gourmet Food Parlour, Salthill (Galway)
Gourmet Food Parlour is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team in Salthill, Galway. This is a full time role of 30+ hours a week over 5 days, flexibility is needed Mon-Sun.
As an essential member of our kitchen team, you'll play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation - helping to keep our busy kitchens running smoothly and efficiently.

Wash and sanitise dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, and work areas.

Manage waste and recycling in line with company policies.

Assist with receiving and organising deliveries, ensuring all items are checked and stored correctly.

Tidy and organise food storage areas, ensuring everything is clearly labelled and properly rotated.

Date-label produce and manage stock using the FIFO (First In, First Out) system.

Support chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required.

Ensure equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.

Follow all health and safety and food hygiene procedures.

Work as part of a team to ensure a smooth and efficient service.

Previous experience working in a professional kitchen.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Flexibility to work weekends and busy periods.

Must hold a valid EU passport or work permit/visa.

Must be able to speak English.
