Pricing & Commercial Projects Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Pricing & Commercial Projects Specialist to join our team. This is a key business-facing role responsible for managing pricing activities, coordinating commercial projects, and ensuring customer agreements and pricing structures remain accurate and commercially effective.The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across multiple departments, building strong internal and external relationships to understand business developments, identify pricing impacts, and drive necessary actions. This role requires a combination of pricing expertise, project management capability, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Pricing Management
Manage and coordinate multiple pricing updates throughout the year, ensuring accurate implementation and communication.
Monitor and maintain customer-specific pricing agreements, contracts, rebates, and commercial arrangements.
Review pricing changes and assess potential impacts on customers, margins, and business operations.
Identify pricing discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions where required.
Support the development and continuous improvement of pricing processes and controls.
Commercial Projects & Change Management
Lead and support both short-term and long-term commercial and pricing-related projects.
Coordinate cross-functional activities to ensure successful project delivery within agreed timelines.
Track project milestones, risks, and dependencies, communicating progress to key stakeholders.
Support business transformation initiatives, including future ERP implementation projects.
Assist with process improvement activities to enhance efficiency and commercial effectiveness.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Proactively engage with colleagues across departments to understand business developments and emerging requirements.
Attend meetings and project discussions to identify potential impacts on pricing, customer agreements, and commercial operations.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external business partners.
Act as a key point of coordination between commercial, operational, finance, and systems teams.
Systems & Process Development
Support pricing and commercial processes within the company’s ERP systems.
Contribute to future ERP implementation and business transformation projects.
Assist with testing, validation, process mapping, and user adoption activities during system changes.
Help maintain accurate pricing and customer data across business systems.
Skills & Experience
Essential
Previous experience in pricing, commercial operations, project coordination, business improvement, or a similar role.
Strong organisational and project management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work proactively and independently, identifying priorities and opportunities without requiring constant direction.
Experience managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Desirable
Experience managing pricing structures, customer agreements, contracts, or commercial arrangements.
Exposure to ERP systems and business transformation projects.
Experience supporting ERP implementations or major system changes.
Knowledge of Kerridge K8 / ERP One (Klipboard ERP).
Experience using SharePoint and Slack.
Background within distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, construction supplies, merchanting, or similar sectors.
