Tadhg Hawes Motor Parts is an established motor factor supplying trade and commercial customers across Cork. We're growing our Motor Factor division and looking for a reliable, hardworking Warehouse Operative to join the team at our Togher branch.
THE ROLE
This is a full-time, hands-on warehouse role at the heart of our Togher operation. You'll be responsible for the accurate picking and packing of orders, receiving and booking in stock, processing customer credits and supplier returns, and keeping the warehouse running smoothly day to day. Attention to detail and a tidy, organised approach are essential.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Pick and pack orders accurately for courier collection, ensuring the correct parts go out every time
- Receive incoming deliveries — check, count, and book in stock correctly against purchase orders
- Manage stock organisation across the warehouse — correct locations, clear labelling, and tidy racking
- Process customer credits promptly and accurately, liaising with the counter team where needed
- Handle supplier returns — identify, document, and package returned items for collection in line with supplier requirements
- Carry out regular stock counts and assist with cycle counts and annual stock takes
- Report any stock discrepancies, damaged goods, or missing items to the branch manager
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised warehouse environment at all times
- Support the wider branch team with ad hoc warehouse duties as required
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or motor factor environment
- Strong attention to detail — accuracy in picking, receiving, and paperwork is essential
- Comfortable processing credits and returns with care and accuracy
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Physically capable — this role involves regular lifting of automotive parts and components
- Good basic IT skills — comfortable using a warehouse or stock management system
- A tidy, organised work ethic — you take pride in keeping your workspace clean and efficient
