As a Financial Reconciliations Assistant you will play a key role in carrying out daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations. You will work as part of the Financial Reconciliations team
Responsibilities:
- Drive continuous improvement and seek efficiencies that will enhance team processes, data and outputs to aid the function and Bank in achieving its targets and to improve controls.
- Effectively managing own workloads to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensure accuracy of the general ledger and seek improvements and efficiencies in the population of the general ledger.
- Assist with the preparation and posting of month end journals and monthly subsidiary accounts.
- Review mailboxes and other queries and respond within a timely manner.
- To understand the processes in the team and provide outputs of the highest quality.
- To be familiar with the relevant controls in place and ensure they are adhered to. Provide feedback to manager regarding any control failures or weaknesses.
- Build links within the team to ensure collaboration and high-quality outputs.
- Interact with internal and external auditors to ensure issues are resolved and closed out during the reporting process.
Requirements:
- Strong appreciation of the importance of robust controls.
- Self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative, under pressure and to strict timelines.
- Team focused displaying ability to work with others within and outside the team and a willingness to be flexible to assist in achieving the overall goals of the team.
- Strong focus on attention to detail.
- Enthusiastic, committed and proactive approach to problem solving.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel.
This is a Permanent role based in PTSB's St Stephens Green Dublin.
