Title: Clinic Administrator and Finance Officer
Location: Athboy Family Practice, Athboy, Co Meath
Part/Full Time – Permanent
This role blends front-desk support, patient scheduling and record-keeping with handling bills, tracking budgets, processing invoices and managing accounts. The role provides a vital bridge between frontline patient care, daily office coordination and back-end financial management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Financial Operations and Accounting
· Billing & Invoicing. Generating patient bills & processing daily payments.
· Accounts Payable/Receivable: balancing invoices, tracking outstanding patient debts and pursuing aged collections.
· Reconciliations: Reconciling daily takings with patient management system reports and bank deposits.
· Payroll & Expenses: Processing staff timesheets, managing overtime data and managing petty cash.
· Reporting & Compliance: Prepare regular financial & operational updates for the Practice Partners, Accountant & Practice Manager.
2) Clinic Administration and Patient Services:
· Providing front-of-house duties: Greeting patients, managing incoming calls and handing patients complaints.
· Patient Coordination: Scheduling appointments, managing clinic calendars and optimising patient flow.
· Collaborative Working: Assisting the Clinical Teams
Requirements: Essential
· Evidence of experience working in a financial operations/bookkeeping role.
· Proven customer facing experience in a busy, fast paced setting.
· Highly computer literate.
· Experience dealing with challenging situations.
Requirements: Highly Desirable
· Client facing experience in a Primary Care setting.
· Previous experience of Medical Practice Software such as Socrates, HealthOne or Helix.
· Knowledge of and experience with the PCRS system, GMS process and systems. Combined antenatal care (CANC) scheme and other Irish primary care services and processes.

Pay: €28,300.00-€44,340.88 per year
