Oversee the preparation of robust claims, technical reports, and client deliverables to a high standard of quality and compliance.
Act as a trusted adviser to clients on capital allowances matters, combining strong tax technical knowledge with practical commercial awareness.
Build and deepen both existing and new client relationships.
Identify and convert opportunities to provide capital allowances and wider tax incentives services to new and existing clients across the all-island market.
Support business development activity, working with Partners and colleagues across Tax, Real Estate, Construction, Advisory and the wider firm to originate, shape and deliver compelling client solutions.
Manage the financial performance of engagements, including scoping, budgets, recoverability, billing and personal financial targets.
Lead, coach and develop a team of tax professionals and specialists, providing technical guidance, career support and day-to-day leadership.
Skills and attributes
We are looking for someone who brings:
CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualification, or an equivalent professional / quantity surveying background relevant to capital allowances advisory work.
Significant post-qualification experience in capital allowances, ideally gained in a large practice, Big Four or top-tier professional services environment.
Strong technical understanding of capital allowances regimes in the Republic of Ireland and/or the UK, with the ability to advise on varied claim types.
A commercial mindset, with the ability to translate technical capital allowances rules into clear, practical advice for clients and internal delivery teams.
Experience managing complex engagements from scoping through delivery, including review of expenditure data, preparation of claim methodologies, and management of client expectations.
Proven experience leading teams, with a genuine interest in people development, performance, and wellbeing.
Confidence working with senior stakeholders, including clients, Partners, finance teams, property specialists, and other advisers.
A proactive, growth-oriented approach, with the ambition to help build a leading all-island capital allowances practice.
