We are seeking experienced Chef to join us at Plúr Wood fired Pizza in Co. Kildare. We are located in Naas and Clane.
Chef Experience: Essential
Pizza Chef Experience: Preferred but not essential
Pay range: 16 to 21 euro (pay scale is based on experience, and will be discussed upon interview and in-house trial)
Plúr Woodfired Pizza is a Neapolitan style pizza takeaway with a passion for utilising the best quality, locally sourced produce. We are looking a candidate who shares this vision. As part team you will be responsible for preparing and cooking our pizzas, hand stretching our sourdough and cooking with an authentic wood fire oven. The quality of our product is very important to us and our quality must match the expectations of our customers.
The role of Pizza Chef will see you work closely with the executive head chef. You will assist in supervising your team and coordinating the delivery of high-quality food, in a busy and fast paced environment.
What will keep you busy:
- Preparing and stretching pizza dough to Plúr standards
- Topping and cooking pizzas during service
- Operating and managing the woodfired oven safely and efficiently
- Assisting with food preparation and mise en place
- Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Following HACCP and food safety procedures
- Keeping workstations clean, organised, and fully stocked
- Assisting with kitchen opening and closing duties
- Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy service periods
- Helping maintain consistency across all menu items
- Receiving and storing deliveries correctly when required
- Contributing positively to a team-focused working environment
What we are looking for in you:
- Pizza chef experience (preferred)
- Previous chef experience (essential)
- Excellent leadership and Kitchen management skills
- Self-motivated
- Team player with the ability to manage the team when the Executive Head Chef is absent
- Wood Oven experience
- Hand rolling dough
- High cleaning standard
- The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- HACCP Certification
