The Warehouse Operative will support the Warehouse Team Leader in all areas of the stores function in accordance with national/international regulatory requirements and Ipsen’s internal standards and procedures.
Perform activities within the logistics team in support of production and plant activities.
Perform activities in compliance with all standard operating, cGMP and safety procedures.
Main responsibilities
Warehouse duties
Goods inwards, general stores, dispatch and stock-take activities.
Assist with Receipt, storage, dispensation and reconciliation of inventory raw materials and product contact components.
Bulk Tanker Loading and unloading
Unloading and put-away of drummed chemicals and IBCs.
Movement of goods within the plant in accordance with production requirements and the company's safety policies.
Forklift operation in accordance with operational and safety procedures.
Preparation and loading of drummed waste shipments.
Distribution of goods received to the requisitioning department.
Picking of requisitions and delivery to production.
Any other duties assigned by the department manager that may arise.
EHS Responsibilities
Ensure Compliance with site EHS systems and procedures e.g. use of PPE, Permit to work Systems, Incident/Accident Investigation procedures etc.
Responsible for ensuring high standards of housekeeping are maintained within their area of work.
Responsible for participation and active contribution to the departmental Risk Assessment Programme as directed by their supervisor / department manager.
Responsible for ensuring that all accident / incidents / near misses are reported to their area supervisor / department manager within a timely manner and contribution to subsequent investigations / reports.
Responsible for contributing to the closure of EHS actions raised from accidents / incidents, audits, risk assessments etc.
Responsible for their respective attendance to scheduled EHS training modules as defined by the site training calendar.
Responsible for contributing to the departmental Continuous Improvement Programme as it pertains to EHS/GMP on site.
Knowledge, abilities & experience
Experience in warehouse operations of a quality regulated manufacturing organisation (e.g. ISO9000 or
GMP/GDP).
Computer literate (MS Word, database data-entry). SAP Experience.
Certified fork-lift driver.
Languages: English (oral and written)
Key Technical Competencies Required
Preferably experience in a GMP manufacturing environment.
Preferably experience of SAP / ERP systems
Basic working knowledge of MS software particularly Excel and Word
Good communication skills
Able to participate in a cross functional, team-oriented environment
Able to work on his/her own initiative
Team player
