The Team
The People and Capability Office has overall responsibility for crafting and implementing a vision for organisational transformation, driving initiatives that support EirGrid strategic goals in people management, internal communications, and process enhancement.
The People and Capability Office plays a pivotal role in shaping the next phase of EirGrid's evolution, facilitating cultural change, and building and enabling a high-performance environment. From talent development to employee engagement, the People and Capability Office leads the charge in creating a motivated workforce and delivering best-practice HR policies and solutions.
The Talent Development function is responsible for leading the development of the overall Talent Development Strategy for EirGrid, including talent acquisition, organisational development, talent mobility and learning & development, career/succession planning, leadership development and executive coaching services.
The Opportunity
The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will lead end-to-end talent acquisition processes, from role approval through to contract acceptance. Partnering closely with hiring managers, they will deliver high-quality resourcing solutions that meet business needs while ensuring a positive and professional experience for candidates and stakeholders at every stage.
Success in this role will depend on the ability to manage multiple recruitment assignments in a fast-paced environment, consistently delivering against agreed KPIs and service standards.
The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of technical and business vacancies, up to and including senior professional level. They will ensure that all recruitment activity is delivered in line with employment legislation, best practice, and company policies and procedures, while maintaining a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and candidate care.
Key Responsibilities-
Develop and maintain diverse talent pipelines to meet current hiring needs and support future workforce planning, using a blend of direct sourcing, market insight, and agency partnerships.

Manage the recruitment process efficiently and effectively to ensure a high-quality experience for both hiring managers and candidates.

Act as a subject matter expert in recruitment and selection procedures, applying a strong self-audit approach to ensure compliance and timely progression of vacancies.

Partner with hiring managers early in the process to understand business priorities, define role requirements, and agree effective resourcing plans.

Oversee CV review, longlisting, shortlisting, interview coordination, and offer management for all assigned vacancies.

Consistently deliver against hiring KPIs by securing high-calibre candidates across a broad range of disciplines and seniority levels.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of recruitment processes in response to evolving business needs and market trends.

Provide regular, high-quality updates on talent acquisition activity, market conditions, and employment trends to relevant stakeholders.

Leverage digital platforms, social media, and other sourcing channels to strengthen employer brand and attract top talent.

Build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders across the organisation to support successful hiring outcomes.
Knowledge, skills and experience-
A relevant degree and typically 5+ years’ experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or a related field.

Proven experience managing multiple recruitment assignments, including senior-level roles, within a fast-paced environment.

Strong knowledge of effective sourcing and resourcing strategies, including the use of social media and digital channels to identify and engage candidates.

A track record of delivering high-quality, cost-effective recruitment solutions aligned to business needs.

Ability to build strong, credible relationships with stakeholders across a range of functions and levels.

Experience managing recruitment processes that attract diverse candidate pools, including international talent where relevant.

Advanced proficiency in using applicant tracking systems, with experience of Candidate Manager considered an advantage.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage effectively across all levels of the organisation.

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and manage competing demands.

A flexible, adaptable approach and the ability to respond positively to changing business needs.

This opportunity is being offered on a 12 month fixed term contract basis.
