We are looking for a Senior Site Engineer to join our team in Co. Wicklow.
The person will be responsible for overseeing site engineering activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, to spec and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with PM, Contracts Mgr, QS, design team, planners and site teams.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and statutory authorities.
- Review drawings, specs and contract docs.
- Carry out setting out, surveying and site measurements.
- Ensure works are completed in line with design, quality and H&S reqs.
- Monitor site progress and report on programme milestones.
- Assist with project planning, sequencing and resource allocation.
- Prepare site records, as-built drawings and technical reports.
- Manage labour, plant and material requirements.
- Identify and resolve technical issues on site.
- Ensure quality control procedures and inspections are carried out.
- Support preparation of method statements, risk assessments and permits.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities and progress.
- Ensure compliance with company HSQE systems and statutory regulations.
- Attend site meetings and provide engineering support to project team.
- Report delays, risks and site issues to senior management.
- Mentor and support junior engineers where required.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years' experience as a Site Engineer on construction or civil projects in Ireland.
- Strong setting out and surveying experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, GPS and total station equipment.
- Good understanding of construction methods, specifications and standards.
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities.
- Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and site compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Full clean Irish/EU driving licence.
- Authorised to work in Ireland (Stamp 4, EU Citizen or Critical Skills Permit).

Pay: €55,000.00-€73,000.00 per year
