As a Bar Supervisor at our vibrant pub gig venue, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a great customer experience while managing bar operations.
You’ll oversee the bar team, coordinate with the kitchen and management, engage current staff, and facilitate training for new hires.
You’ll also be responsible for smoothly executing different group bookings throughout the week and stepping in for the Bar Manager when needed.
1. Team Management and Training:
- Supervise and lead the bar staff, ensuring high standards of service.
- Conduct training sessions for new employees, covering bar procedures, service techniques, and health and safety regulations.
- Provide ongoing support and coaching to current staff to enhance performance and teamwork.
2. Coordination with Kitchen and Management:
- Maintain effective communication with the kitchen team to ensure timely service and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Collaborate with management on scheduling, inventory management, and event planning.
3. Event Coordination:
- Plan and oversee group bookings each week, ensuring all aspects, from setup to execution, are handled efficiently.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless experience for guests during events.
- Manage bar inventory and supplies in preparation for events, ensuring all necessary items are stocked.
4. Daily Operations:
- Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
- Monitor staff performance and guest satisfaction, addressing concerns promptly to maintain a high-quality experience.
- Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, maintaining financial records as required.
5. Covering for Bar Manager:
- Step in for the Bar Manager during their absence,
- Uphold the venue's policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a bar or hospitality environment, preferable but not essential
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of bar operations, drink preparation, and inventory management.
- Flexible schedule, with availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Pay: €1.00-€2.00 per year
