Field Service Engineer (FLT’s and Heavy Material Handling Plant)
Location: Residing within 30 minutes of Kilkenny (R95 post code)
Salary: €49956 to €53000 DOE for 39 hours, with working time being from door to door.
Additional Pay: Overtime structures apply over 39 hours. On-call work offers more earning opportunities.

Are you an experienced engineer ready for a new challenge? Our client, a global OEM in heavy material handling machinery, has a great new opportunity for a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our high-performing UK and Ireland teams. This is a great opportunity for engineers with experience in heavy material handling plant and machinery to join this global manufacturer's service division, working on their own and third-party equipment, such as forklift trucks, reach stackers, tractor units, and mobile cranes, all generally in excess of 10 tonnes. A business where many of our engineering colleagues boast long service.
What You’ll Do
- Provide maintenance, repair, servicing, and support for cutting-edge heavy plant and material handling equipment at customer sites.
- Autonomously plan your workday with door-to-door pay.
- Travel as required, working as part of a team supporting Ireland and Northern Ireland
- Play a key part in a team where your expertise is trusted, and long-term careers are the norm.
What Makes You Stand Out
- Solid background in heavy plant or material handling, or similar.
- Qualified to Level 3 (NVQ or equivalent) in mechanical and/or electrical engineering
- High competence working with hydraulics
- Proven experience in fault finding and diagnostics, including CANBUS systems and electrical wiring diagrams
- Reliable, self-managing, and committed to quality
