Syntech Recruitment are partnering with an engineering contractor to recruit experienced Stick Welders (SMAW) for a major fabrication and installation project based in Dublin.
This role will support structural and plate welding activities within a heavy industrial environment, focusing on MMA welding and high-quality weld execution to project specifications.
Stick Welder (SMAW) Responsibilities
· Carry out MMA (Stick) welding on structural and plate components
· Work from fabrication drawings and welding procedures
· Prepare materials and joints prior to welding
· Perform multi-run welds to a high standard
· Ensure correct welding parameters and consumables are used
· Inspect welds to ensure quality and compliance
· Support fabrication and installation teams on-site
· Maintain safe and organised working areas
· Ensure all work is completed right-first-time
Stick Welder (SMAW) Requirements
· Proven experience as a Stick Welder (MMA / SMAW)
· Strong experience welding structural or plate components
· Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings
· Experience working within industrial or heavy fabrication environments
· Stoving (PWHT) experience highly desirable
· High attention to detail and quality standards
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Available for project start dates
