Receptionist – Full-Time, Permanent Contract

We are looking for a full-time Receptionist to join our growing Clinic Support Team based in Carrickmines, Co. Dublin.
The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering an excellent patient experience and creating a welcoming, professional first impression for everyone attending our clinic. The role involves supporting patients and visitors, managing incoming calls and enquiries, maintaining an organised reception environment and providing administrative support to the wider clinical team.
This is a fully office-based position, working Monday to Friday on a rotational basis across the following shifts:
- 8:00am – 4:00pm
- 9:00am – 5:00pm
- 10:00am – 6:00pm
Candidates should also have availability to work Saturdays as required.

Key Responsibilities
- Meet and greet patients and visitors to the clinic in a professional, welcoming and courteous manner.
- Provide an excellent standard of customer service throughout the patient journey.
- Assist patients with the completion of consent forms and other required documentation.
- Prepare clinical rooms and equipment to ensure they are ready for nurses, consultants and patients.
- Use the AllView Healthcare patient management system to accurately update patient records.
- Answer incoming telephone calls, respond to patient enquiries and direct calls to the appropriate department.
- Support the scheduling and coordination of patient appointments where required.
- Maintain a professional, organised and welcoming reception and waiting area.
- Provide reception or administrative cover at other AllView Healthcare clinics within the region where required.
- Assist with the organisation and coordination of events.
- Liaise with management and the wider clinical and administrative teams to prepare documentation and provide administrative support as required.
- Undertake other reasonable duties consistent with the requirements of the role.
Experience & Skills
The successful candidate should have:
- A minimum of one year's administrative or reception experience, ideally within a healthcare, medical or customer-facing environment.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A friendly, professional and approachable manner with excellent telephone etiquette.
- Strong customer service skills and a patient-focused approach.
- A systematic and organised approach to work.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team while also using their own initiative.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong computer and IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- The ability to manage competing priorities within a busy clinic environment.
- Flexibility to work across the clinic's rotational working hours and Saturdays where required.
