Réalta Technologies are seeking an experienced Lead Automation Engineer (DeltaV) to support a large-scale DCS migration project for a Chemical API manufacturing facility.
The successful candidate will act as the technical lead across the DeltaV workstream — overseeing system design, configuration standards, code review, and testing activities — while leading a team of mid-level Automation Engineers focused on module configuration and validation support.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of the DeltaV DCS during migration from Foxboro.
- Define automation architecture, control strategies, and coding standards across the DeltaV platform.
- Provide technical oversight and mentorship to a team of Automation Engineers responsible for configuration and testing.
- Support system integration activities with upstream/downstream plant systems and future Syncade MES deployment.
- Review and approve control module, equipment module, and phase logic configuration.
- Lead FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities in collaboration with site stakeholders.
- Support validation lifecycle documentation including FS/DS, RTM, and test protocols in line with GMP requirements.
Job Requirements
- 7+ years’ experience in Automation Engineering within GMP-regulated manufacturing (Pharma/Chemical/Life Sciences).
- Strong hands-on expertise in Emerson DeltaV configuration and system architecture.
- Proven experience executing DCS migrations or major brownfield control system upgrades.
- Experience leading small automation teams on project delivery.
- Exposure to MES integration (preferably Syncade) within batch manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with ISA-88 batch control principles.
- Experience supporting commissioning and CSV activities within regulated environments.
