Start Your Career in Tax Advisory
Coventure Tax Consulting is a specialist tax advisory firm working with entrepreneurs, families, business owners and privately owned companies.
We are looking for an ambitious graduate who wants to build a professional career in taxation and advisory.
No previous tax experience is required. We are looking for someone with strong academic ability, an interest in business and taxation, and the motivation to complete the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification with the Irish Tax Institute.
Coventure will fund your CTA professional studies and support you through the qualification while you gain practical experience working with clients.
The Role
You will join our Dublin team and work alongside experienced tax professionals. From the outset, you will gain exposure to real client assignments and develop both your technical and commercial skills.
As your knowledge and experience develop, your work will include:
- Assisting with Irish personal and corporate tax matters.
- Supporting private client tax planning assignments.
- Researching technical tax issues and preparing written advice.
- Assisting with estate and succession planning.
- Supporting business acquisitions, disposals and reorganisations.
- Preparing tax computations and reviewing financial information.
- Assisting with tax matters affecting entrepreneurs and owner-managed businesses.
- Gaining exposure to international and cross-border tax issues.
- Communicating with clients and other professional advisers.
- Working with senior advisers on client meetings and assignments.
The level of responsibility will increase as you progress through your professional examinations and gain experience.
What We Are Looking For
You do not need previous professional tax experience.
The minimum academic requirement is a 2.1 honours degree.
We welcome applications from graduates across a range of disciplines. Degrees in accounting, finance, business, economics, law or related subjects may be particularly relevant, but we are more interested in the quality of the candidate than a particular degree course.
You should:
- Have achieved, or expect to achieve, a minimum 2.1 honours degree.
- Be prepared to undertake the CTA qualification with the Irish Tax Institute.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be comfortable working with numbers and written information.
- Communicate clearly and professionally.
- Have good attention to detail.
- Be interested in business, taxation and commercial matters.
- Be willing to learn and take increasing responsibility.
- Enjoy working as part of a small professional team.
Professional Qualification and Training
You will receive practical experience alongside your studies, allowing you to apply what you learn to real client situations.
Our objective is not simply to recruit someone for a graduate position. We want to develop a tax professional who can progress within the firm and build a long-term career in advisory.
How to Apply
Please submit:
- Your CV; and
- A covering letter explaining why you are interested in developing a career in taxation and why you would like to join Coventure Tax Consulting.
Applications submitted without both a CV and covering letter will not be considered.
