Job Scope:
We have an exciting opportunity for HGV Technicians (Mobile Field Engineer) wanting to work on OEM brand vehicles and be on the forefront of new technology coming into the Irish automotive industry (Hybrid and fully electric buses).
This opportunity offers a successful candidate the chance to widen their experience into newer technology and avail of all OEM training around Hybrid and Fully Electric vehicles, in addition to in-house training by the company’s own Master Technicians.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Carry out Fault Diagnosis, Service, Maintenance/Repair on Hybrid/Electric Buses, and other HGV vehicles where required
- Strong Customer focus around vehicle availability and repairs
- Work to a high standard of Health and Safety – which imperative to our customer promise
- Adhere to correct working procedures, highlighting any errors or safety issues promptly to Management/Supervisory staff
- To participate in training and development programs as required by the Company
- To undertake any other duties as required
Skills Profile:
- HGV Mechanic National Craft Qualification essential - Level 6 or above (Bus experience a great advantage)
- At least 2/3-year post apprenticeship experience essential
- A good foundation of general electrical experience essential and ability to read diagrams/schematics
- Good diagnostics skills (Knowledge of Cummins In-Site an advantage)
- Good knowledge of laptops and Microsoft products
- Have excellent problem-solving ethics
- B licence essential (D Licence preferable)
- Can follow clear instructions and fluent English (oral and written is essential)
