Position: Valet /Porter / Concierge Team Leader
Department: Front Office
Reports to: Front Office Manager
About the Role
The Valet / concierge / Porter Team Leader plays a key role in delivering a seamless and memorable guest arrival and departure experience. This position oversees the daily operations of the concierge and porter team, ensuring the highest standards of luxury service are consistently met. Acting as a senior point of contact for guests, the role combines leadership, guest engagement, and operational coordination to uphold the reputation of a 5-star hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support the concierge and porter team to deliver exceptional guest service at all times.
- Ensure smooth and professional handling of guest arrivals, departures, luggage assistance, and valet services (where applicable).
- Capable of valet parking guests' vehicles in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide expert local knowledge, recommendations, and personalized concierge services to guests.
- Handle VIP arrivals, special requests, and guest itineraries with precision and attention to detail.
- Handle administrative tasks including mail distribution, courier coordination, and delivery management.
- Maintain accurate records of guest preferences, bookings, and service requests.
- Demonstrate full knowledge of front office service standards, SOPs, and performance expectations.
- Ensure all team members adhere to grooming standards, brand guidelines, and hotel policies.
- Follow shift checklists to ensure consistency in service delivery and operational readiness.
- Take ownership of personal development through training participation and standards adherence.
- Collaborate closely with Front Office, Accommodation, Food & Beverage, and external partners to deliver seamless guest experiences.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by management to support the broader operation.
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in concierge, porter, valet or front-of-house roles within a luxury or 5-star hotel.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Strong local knowledge with the ability to create tailored, high-value guest recommendations.
- High level of technological proficiency, including email, telephony systems, and relevant hotel software.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Service-driven mindset with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, compliance, and service excellence.
- Need to hold a full clean driving license.
- Eligibility to work in Ireland with sponsorhip.
- Over 25 years of age and eligible to be added to the company's insurance policy.
