The Opportunity
Our Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) team have an exciting opportunity to for an experienced site-based HSE Manager to join our Clonshaugh, Ireland team, where you will advocate and lead a strong HSE culture across our fast-paced operation.
This pivotal role will see you engaging, influencing and partnering with Site General Managers and Senior Operational Teams.
What you'll be doing
Reporting into the Head of HSE you will be the trusted HSE lead across our Clonshaugh, Ireland and Belfast operations where you will shape and instill visible, credible and a hands-on health and safety culture, where you will:
- Partnering with site leadership to drive strong, consistent health and safety performance
- Translating the wider health and safety strategy into practical, site-specific improvements
- Spending time in the operation; coaching and influencing managers and colleagues to strengthen safety culture
- Using data, insight and observation to identify risk, trends and improvement opportunities
- Leading and supporting incident investigations to ensure meaningful learning and sustainable actions
- Acting as the site’s main point of contact for regulators, audits and colleague consultation working with our Trade Union partners
You will also contribute beyond site-based duties, by working in collaboration with the wider Health & Safety team, supporting projects, audits and providing support during significant incidents when required.
What we're looking for
To be successful in your application you will already be operating as a Health and Safety Manager, with single or multi-site responsibility. You will be NEBOSH general certified and hold an IOSH membership or equivalent professional body. You will be experienced in site-based incident investigations, embedding corrective solutions, and sustainable change.
It goes without saying that you will be a natural communicator, influencer, and problem solver, experienced in presenting HSE findings to senior leaders showing current state and future ambitions.
It would be desirable, however not essential, if you have experience of working with trade unions or consultation forums or a background in leading HSE standards within a logistics and supply chain or FMCG environment.
Role details:
Salary: Up to €72,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
Location: Clonshaugh, with travel to Belfast (approximately one day per week)
