Due to continued expansion, REIL, an SEAI registered One Stop Shop, now has a vacancy for an Energy Assessment & Upgrade Advisor within our Home Energy Upgrades division. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have strong interpersonal skills and the highest attention to detail.
This office-based role involves supporting homeowners and professionals in understanding the energy retrofit options available for their property and the eligibility requirements of relevant grant schemes.
Using the property’s BER data and the company’s home upgrade software, the analyst will illustrate potential retrofit measures, expected improvements in energy performance and available upgrade pathways. These options will be discussed with customers during online consultations.
The role will support projects under the SEAI One Stop Shop scheme, Community Energy Grants, Better Energy Homes, the Vacant Property Refurbishment Grant and other relevant schemes. It will also involve preparing a clear and accurate handover to the Quantity Surveying and Project Management teams to support the planning and delivery of the proposed works.
On site training will be provided.
A key function of this role is to provide home upgrade options that are grant compliant while also providing our customers the best value and ROI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse BERs in line with current energy upgrade grant criteria
- Communicate clearly and promptly with BER assessors as required
- Identify and clarify potential solutions with homeowners on projects during consultations
- Highlight cost implications of works required for upgrades
- Work with Scheme Manager & Project Managers to provide exceptional service for our clients
- Review that any project revisions will meet compliance / grant acceptance criteria
- Generation of proposals for clients
- Maintain necessary Programme and Project information
- Provide regular project updates to Client and internal department leads
Experience and Skills Required:
- BER experience is desirable but not essential
- Degree or experience in an architectural, engineering, construction, estimator, or home energy upgrades role
- Excellent communications skills
- Good understanding of domestic construction types and U-values
- Fluent English
- Knowledge or familiarity with the energy or sustainability sector.
