Design ads that get judged on numbers, not likes
Most design roles end when the file is exported. This one starts there.
You'd be joining in September, which means your first few months are spent designing into Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the Christmas peak, the ten weeks that make or break the year for a DTC brand. Your work goes live, gets spend behind it, and you find out within days whether it worked. Very few design jobs give you that feedback loop.
Leading Social is a Dublin based performance marketing agency working with Shopify DTC brands across beauty, wellness and consumer. We run paid social, search and retention for brands in Ireland, the UK and the USA. This is a full time, hybrid role, replacing freelance support we've outgrown.
What you'll actually do
- Design static ad creative for Meta, Google, Pinterest and LinkedIn across roughly 30 client accounts
- Work from creative briefs built off actual performance data, not guesses about what might land
- Turn winning concepts into full variant sets: new hooks, new angles, new formats, tested properly
- Adapt brand assets across formats and placements without losing what makes each brand look like itself
- Build and maintain templates so the repeatable work stops eating the interesting work
- Sit in on creative reviews and post campaign breakdowns, so you see which of your ads carried the account
- Use the AI tooling we work with daily for concepting, production and iteration
You'll own the creative output. You'll also have a senior team around you who know what has worked in these accounts before.
Who this suits
- You have a strong portfolio of digital or ad design. Agency experience is welcome but not required
- You're fluent in Figma or the Adobe suite, and fast in whichever one you prefer
- You can take a brief, ask the right two questions, and come back with something that solves it
- You care whether the ad performed, not just whether it looked good
Major bonus: you can edit video. Short form cutdowns, UGC edits, simple motion. It's not a requirement and we won't test you on it, but it's the single biggest thing that will move your application up the pile.
What you get out of it
- Real ownership of creative across a full client portfolio, not one brand's style guide
- A Q4 of high volume, high stakes ad design behind you, which is a genuine differentiator
- Performance data on your own work, so you learn what converts rather than guessing
- Hands on experience with the AI workflows most agencies are still talking about rather than using
- A hybrid setup and a small, direct team of 12 with no layers to design through
November is our peak. Expect it to be intense, expect to be busy, and expect to learn more about what makes an ad work in that month than in the rest of the year combined.
How to apply
No CV. No cover letter. No application form.
Email [email protected] with two things:
- Why you want this one. A few lines, in your own voice
- Your work. A portfolio, a Behance, a Drive folder, three screenshots, we don't mind the format. If you have ads in there, put them first
That's the whole application. The work is what we'll actually look at, so put the time there.
