David Walsh Civil Engineering Ltd is a family-owned business, providing a wide range of high-quality civil engineering, utility infrastructure and residential construction services and solutions throughout Ireland.
Due to continued growth and expansion, we are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to work on a variety of residential, civil engineering and utility projects.
This is a full-time, office-based role suited to someone who wants to develop their commercial career as part of an experienced commercial and management team.
Preferable Attributes:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent related qualification.
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience in residential, civil engineering, utilities or construction would be an advantage.
- Strong commercial, organisational and communication skills.
- Experience with standard forms of contract would be an advantage.
Main Responsibilities:
The main responsibilities of the role will be applied based on the experience of the candidate.
- Assist with valuations, variations, payment applications and project cost management.
- Support subcontractor orders, payments and accounts.
- Assist with cost reports, budgets, forecasts and project records.
- Work closely with project managers, site teams and the wider commercial team.
- Support tender reviews, procurement and final account close-out where required.

This is an office-based role at our head office in Castledermot, working closely with our commercial and management teams in a professional and friendly work environment
