MILLER BROTHERS – ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST ROLE

Working across Ireland and London, Miller Brothers work on a wide array of project types, from luxury one off homes, to commercial projects. They are looking for the right candidate to join their team.
Architectural technologist role will see the successful applicant working alongside surveyor and project team as well as workshop team to accurately survey projects on site and translate the surveys into precise working drawings for fabrication.
Typical duties include:
- Surveying projects with proliner survey equipment
- Working with surveying equipment to create DXF working files
- Working closely with workshop team to translate working drawings to fabrication drawings
- Develop knowledge of CNC and other manufacturing machinery
- Mapping out set out and pattern matching for clients
- Liaising with designers and architects on set out of stone and design details
- Expert knowledge of Autocad
- Knowledge of Rhino or similar 3d software an advantage
- Collating design information for projects and keeping it up to date
- Preparing documentation for client sign off
- Keeping up to date with legislation, standards and technological innovation.
- Drawing up risk assessments, looking at surveys and investigating other issues that could affect how a project is designed and installed
- Preparing documentation for approvals
- Visiting sites to check progress and inspect work
Most work is desk-based, although site visits will be needed from time to time.

- Design skills for drawing and set out

- Advanced Autocad skills
- Interest in fabrication and production machinery
- An analytical mind with strong problem-solving ability
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- The ability to work well under time and budget pressure
Hours are usually typical ‘office’ hours (although you may not work in an office), but you may need to work late or at weekends when deadlines are approaching.

Pay: €35,148.27-€65,179.47 per year
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
