Job Purpose:
To support the kitchen team by preparing and serving high-quality meals. The role ensures that all food is prepared to a high standard in compliance with HACCP regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present meals to the required standards.
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP regulations are followed at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including equipment and storage areas.
- Monitor stock levels, rotate stock, and assist with ordering as required.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and cleaning staff.
- Ensure portion control, waste minimisation, and cost-effective use of ingredients.
- Primary responsibility for running the kitchen when on duty
- To ensure that the nutritional needs of the residents are met
- Cover for the Head Chef or other team members when required.
