We Are Looking For.
We are seeking applications for the position of Logistics Lead. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and energetic company operating within the growing FMCG sector.
The Logistics Lead will oversee the day-to-day coordination of warehouse and logistics activities, ensuring the safe, accurate and efficient movement of raw materials, packaging, finished goods and other stock throughout the site.
The successful candidate will have at least three years' experience in a similar logistics, warehouse or supply-chain role, ideally within an FMCG, food, beverage or manufacturing environment. Previous team leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
Strong organisational, communication and administrative skills are essential, along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Thyme IT would be an advantage.
What You'll Do.

Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the logistics and warehouse team, allocating work and ensuring operational priorities are achieved.

Manage the receipt, storage, movement and dispatch of raw materials, packaging components and finished goods.

Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries, liaising with suppliers, hauliers, customers and internal departments.

Ensure production materials are available in the correct quantities and locations to support the production schedule and minimise downtime.

Maintain accurate stock records and ensure all inventory movements are recorded correctly within the relevant systems.

Monitor stock levels and support regular cycle counts, stocktakes and inventory reconciliations.

Investigate stock discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective actions.

Ensure batch codes, product movements and dispatch documentation are accurately recorded to maintain traceability.

Prepare and verify delivery paperwork, goods-received documentation and other relevant logistics records.

Ensure customer orders are picked, checked, loaded and dispatched accurately and on schedule.

Monitor logistics and warehouse performance, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service levels and stock accuracy.

Ensure warehouse areas are maintained to a high standard of organisation, cleanliness and safety.

Promote compliance with company procedures and all applicable health and safety, quality and food-safety requirements.

Support the induction and training of team members and promote ongoing adherence to company procedures and standards.

Escalate operational, quality, stock or safety issues to the appropriate manager.

Work collaboratively with Production, Planning, Procurement and Quality, Procurement to support the smooth operation of the site.

Engage with our customers providing shipping updates and resolve issues in a timely mannor.

Undertake other reasonable duties as assigned by your manager.
What You'll Bring.

At least three years' experience in a logistics, warehouse or supply-chain position.

Experience in an FMCG, food, beverage or manufacturing environment is desirable.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to stock accuracy.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments.
