Assistant Operations Manager
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Assistant Operations Manager to support the Hotel Operations Manager in the day-to-day operation of The Europe Hotel Resort.
The role is highly operational and guest-facing, requiring the successful candidate to be actively involved in the daily running of the hotel while also managing the administrative and organisational responsibilities associated with the position. The role has a strong focus on Food Beverage, conference and banqueting, and Duty Management, while maintaining oversight of the wider hotel operation. Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential.
- Support the Hotel Operations Manager in the smooth and efficient day-to-day operation of the hotel.
- Lead, support and coordinate the Duty Management team, ensuring effective communication and consistency across all shifts.
- Be actively involved in the daily hotel operation, with particular focus on Food Beverage, front desk and conference and banqueting.
- Work closely with Heads of Department to ensure effective coordination across the hotel.
- Support the successful delivery of banqueting events and other high-volume operational periods.
- Monitor service standards, presentation, cleanliness and compliance with hotel procedures.
- Respond to guest feedback, queries and complaints, ensuring appropriate and timely resolution.
- Support the training, coaching and development of operational colleagues.
- Complete operational reports, administration and follow-up tasks accurately and within required timeframes.
- Assist with operational planning, inspections and the implementation of hotel standards and procedures.
- Deputise for the Hotel Operations Manager when required.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within a high-volume 4- or 5-star hotel.
- Strong Food Beverage and conference/banqueting experience.
- Previous Duty Management experience is preferred, ideally within a high-volume hotel environment.
- Front Office / Reception experience and knowledge of Opera PMS or a comparable hotel PMS would be highly advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail with strong administrative and organisational skills.
- A hands-on management style with the ability to be actively involved in the daily hotel operation.
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm, organised and effective in a fast-paced environment.
- Impeccable personal presentation and a professional, polished approach at all times.
- A genuine commitment to exceptional guest service and luxury hospitality standards.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends and busy operational periods.
- Excellent written and spoken English is essential.
- Candidates will be assessed primarily on relevant experience, operational ability and leadership skills.
- Candidates must have independently obtained the legal right to work in Ireland and will be required to provide appropriate evidence.
