Community Service Manager(Category 1)
Permanent Full-Time Contract, 39 hours per week

About the Role:
To improve the quality of service provision and evidence accordingly. To transfer knowledge from current regulation to that of a day service setting. To ensure the completion and the implementation of the Easi Tool. To share knowledge, develop and share learning according to the needs of the specific service.
Responsible for the operational management and ongoing development of day services supporting adults with intellectual, physical and sensory disabilities, ASD and other associated diagnosis of the population of individuals supported. The Community Service Manager (CSM) is responsible for the management and development of day resource service and outreach service as relevant to the post. The CSM supports and manages the Programme Supervisors, wider staff team and services allocated within their remit. The day services are committed to supported self-directed living (based on Social Role Valorisation Theory), a person-centred approach and in line with New Directions HSE Policy.
What We’re Looking For:
- A third level qualification in health and social care is essential with or working towards a management element.
- Project Management, People Management / Leadership training or programmes; MAPA Training, Safeguarding Training amongst others.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care.
- Experience in the strategic planning, development and delivery of a wide range of client focused health and social care services with proven experience of leading and motivating a team with excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, logistical and management skills; and the ability to establish and maintain good relationships with internal colleagues.
Your Responsibilities:
- To line manage plan, develop, implement, and manage appropriate personal development, health, educational, recreational, and occupational programmes within the Resource Centre, in consultation with clients and the Staff team, and as directed, advised, and guided by senior management.
- To ensure the delivery of high quality, coordinated, and seamless services for example, by implementing regular quality assurance audits, including regular reviews including service user representatives, NRAC, advocates, key stakeholders, and funding bodies.
- To research and work alongside the HSE in implementing the quality vision for day services and linked community/outreach supports. .
To transfer knowledge through training supports and cross learning as per resource/manager/staff team require.
Additional Requirements:
- A full, clean driving licence, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience is desirable.
If applicable, candidates will need to provide a police certificate for any country they've lived in before moving to Ireland
