Multi-Skilled Carpenter
Role Overview
The Multi-Skilled Carpenter is responsible for completing all internal and external finishing works to ensure every Homeology project is delivered to the highest standard. The role includes second-fix carpentry, final snagging, making good, and ensuring each property and surrounding site is clean, safe and fully prepared for client handover.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Site Foreman and work closely with all trades on site. They must be a strong team player, communicate effectively, and contribute positively to the overall success of each project.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete all internal finishing works following plastering and decoration.
- Carry out second-fix carpentry, including skirting, architraves, internal doors, window boards, ironmongery and finishing trims.
- Complete final snagging to a high standard.
- Carry out minor plaster repairs and making good works.
- Apply silicone and mastic sealants where required.
- Complete painting and decorating touch-ups where necessary.
- Fit fixtures, fittings and final accessories.
- Complete all external finishing works following External Wall Insulation (EWI), including trims, sealants and making good.
- Finish external details around windows, doors, pipes and service penetrations.
- Carry out final external snagging to ensure a high-quality finish.
- Clean external walls, windows and completed works where required.
- Remove all surplus materials, waste and debris from site.
- Maintain clean, organised and safe working areas throughout the project.
- Leave gardens, driveways, footpaths and surrounding areas clean and presentable.
- Assist with general site duties where required to support the wider team.
- Ensure every Homeology project is completed to the highest standard before client handover.
Reporting & Teamwork
- Report directly to the Site Foreman.
- Follow instructions from the Foreman and communicate progress regularly.
- Work collaboratively with all trades, including carpenters, plumbers, plasterers, insulation installers and groundworkers.
- Be willing to assist other team members where required to keep projects on schedule.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a strong team culture.
- Take pride in representing Homeology professionally on every site.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in second-fix carpentry.
- Strong multi-skilled construction experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
