We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Cleaner to join our team in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout McElhinneys department store. This is a physically active role that requires good mobility, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
Key roles include but are not limited to:
- Hoover and wash floor surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and products
- Clean and polish glass surfaces
- Perform general upkeep duties to keep the store environment clean and presentable
- Clean and sanitise public toilets regularly to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness in all customer-facing areas, such as the foyer and entrance
- Follow store safety and hygiene protocols at all times
- Assist customers with general queries
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a cleaning or maintenance role (preferred)
- Physically fit with good mobility, must be able to work on their feet for extended periods
- Have good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and carry out tasks efficiently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
