Sodexo is looking for a dedicated and proactive Building Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination of building and facilities-related activities.
As the main point of contact for staff, contractors and service providers, you’ll help ensure the building operates safely and efficiently, responding to facilities requirements and coordinating a range of workplace services.
What you’ll do:

Proactively log Facilities Management tickets for building and facilities issues and ensure they are followed through to resolution

Act as the main point of contact for staff and contractors regarding building and premises-related issues

Manage the building management mailbox, ensuring queries receive a timely response and appropriate follow-up
-
Support investigations and follow-up actions relating to facilities-related safety incidents and Health & Safety issues

Complete conference room setups and ensure AV equipment is operational for meetings
-
Arrange access and inductions for service providers and new starters

Coordinate accommodation, hot desks and workspace for staff, undergraduates, visitors and new starters

Ensure building noticeboards are kept current and up to date

Manage waste processes with contractors and ensure floor areas remain clear of confidential waste and cardboard

Act as the point of contact for deliveries, coordinating their receipt and distribution

Collect and distribute daily post and manage outgoing mail, including franking and post office deliveries

Ensure the building is clean, well-maintained and that tea stations are appropriately stocked

Conduct daily visual checks of fire safety systems

Arrange hospitality for business meetings in line with local processes

Manage stock levels of stationery, PPE and consumables, placing orders when required
What you’ll bring:
-
Previous experience in building management, facilities, workplace services or a similar role

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow tasks through to completion

Excellent communication and customer service skills, with confidence dealing with staff, contractors and service providers

A proactive approach to identifying and resolving building and facilities issues

Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and follow established processes

Ability to coordinate multiple workplace requirements, including meeting rooms, access, deliveries and workspace

A professional, reliable and flexible approach

Good IT and administrative skills, including the ability to manage shared mailboxes and workplace systems

Commitment to maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and building compliance
