The Great Southern Killarney, part of the Scally Hotel Collection, is looking for an Accommodation Assistant to join our team. Every team member plays an important role in creating memorable stays for our guests, and we are now seeking an energetic and hardworking individual to join our Accommodation Team.

As an Accommodation Assistant, you will help ensure that guest bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas are presented to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. Your attention to detail and pride in your work will directly contribute to a welcoming and exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome all guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
- Clean guest bedrooms and bathrooms to 5* standards following all SOPs.
- Refresh and restock amenities, linen, towels, stationery, and supplies across the department.
- Check all appliances and room features to ensure they are present and in working order.
- Dress beds and prepare rooms to a consistent, high-quality finish.
- Clean large and small furniture, floors, walls, mirrors, windows, wardrobes, and fixtures.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment in all back-of-house areas.
- Correctly use and store cleaning materials, chemicals, machinery, and equipment.
- Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Clean corridors, public areas, and self-catering accommodation as required.
- Report maintenance issues and lost property promptly to your supervisor.
- Assist with unloading and moving stock, equipment, and supplies.
- Work effectively under pressure while maintaining speed, accuracy, and high standards.
- Carry out ad-hoc cleaning duties as requested by the Accommodation Management Team.
- Perform turndown service if necessary
What You Bring
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a similar role within a 4* or 5* hotel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high standards of presentation.
- Excellent communication skills across diverse nationalities and teams.
- Friendly, energetic, approachable, professional, and well-groomed.
- A clear understanding of the importance of exceptional guest experience.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Strong organisational skills and a flexible, team-oriented approach.
- Willingness to learn and follow all Health & Safety and cleaning procedures.
