Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Set out, install, and align concrete formwork systems in accordance with construction drawings and specifications
- Install reinforcement components, bracing systems, and structural fixings for concrete construction
- Prepare, assemble, and secure formwork and shuttering elements prior to concrete placement
- Assist with concrete pours, including vibration, levelling, and finishing activities
- Cut, shape, and fit formwork materials as required on site
- Read and interpret construction drawings, site plans, and technical specifications
- Carry out quality checks to ensure structural accuracy and compliance with project standards
- Operate tools, equipment, and temporary works systems safely and efficiently
- Coordinate with site managers and other trades to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain a safe and orderly work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Skills, Experience and Qualifications RequiredEssential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in formwork, concrete construction
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction specifications
- Competence in the use of hand and power tools relevant to carpentry and formwork installation
- Practical knowledge of concrete placement and structural assembly processes
- Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable (Advantageous)
- Formal qualification in carpentry, joinery, or formwork installation
- Knowledge of temporary works and bracing systems
- Previous experience on residential or commercial construction projects
