Job Summary
The Sauna Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of La Rive Sauna facility, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while maintaining the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency. This role leads the sauna team, manages schedules, oversees facility maintenance, and promotes a welcoming, relaxing, and professional environment for all guests.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee the daily operation of all sauna facilities and wellness areas.
- Ensure all sauna sessions are delivered safely and professionally.
- Monitor facility cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout operating hours.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and local regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate opening and closing procedures.
- Control of bookings
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction and revenue maximisation.
- Attend monthly management meetings, and report on performance and plans
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, supervise, and develop sauna attendants and wellness staff.
- Create staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
- Foster a positive, customer-focused workplace culture.
- Ensure all staff understand and follow operational procedures and safety protocols.
Guest Experience
- Deliver exceptional customer service and respond promptly to guest enquiries or concerns.
- Handle guest feedback professionally and implement improvements where appropriate.
- Ensure a welcoming atmosphere that promotes relaxation and wellbeing.
- Support special events, wellness experiences, and sauna rituals where applicable.
Facility & Maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections of sauna equipment, changing areas, and wellness facilities.
- Report and coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Monitor temperatures, humidity levels, ventilation systems, and water quality where applicable.
- Maintain inventory of towels, amenities, cleaning supplies, and retail products.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Monitor operational costs and assist with budget management.
- Control inventory and minimise waste.
- Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate records.
- Control bookings, and revenue tracking where required.
Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety regulations.
- Maintain emergency procedures and incident reporting processes.
- Conduct routine safety checks and risk assessments.
- Ensure staff are trained in emergency response and first aid procedures where required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience managing a wellness, spa, hospitality, leisure, or sauna facility.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of health, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and operational reporting.
- First Aid certification (preferred).
- CPR certification (preferred).

Working Conditions
