Job Title: Lead AV Installation Engineer
Location: Office based in Dublin 12 but this role requires travel
Company Overview: Digicom is based in Dublin, Ireland. Digicom is an Audio-Visual Unified Communications Systems Integrator in the Business-to-Business marketplace. We have been in business for over 25 years and are looking for an installation engineer to join our projects team.
Position Overview: We are seeking a talented AV Installation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and testing of audiovisual systems in various settings, including corporate offices and educational institutions. The AV Installation Engineer will work with our project team, designers, and clients to ensure seamless integration and exceptional performance of AV solutions.
The position is Full-Time, on a standard Monday-Friday week with some overtime required to complete projects. This role involves travel outside of Dublin, with occasional overnight stays required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, and test audio, video, and control systems, including displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, amplifiers, codecs, and control interfaces.
- Mount and secure AV equipment in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Collaborate with project teams to interpret technical drawings, elevations and schematics.
- Conduct onsite troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve system issues.
- Provide comprehensive system training and support to clients and end-users.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installed systems, including red line drawings and capture equipment data.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures while working at client sites.
Requirements:
- Full driver's license required.
- Previous experience in audiovisual installation, integration, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and documentation.
- Understanding of audiovisual signal flow and routing concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40kg, on a regular basis.
- Comfortable working at heights, using ladders, scaffolding, and lifts to install AV equipment.
