We are looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and motivated part - time Night Porter to join our team.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working independently and takes pride in maintaining a safe, welcoming, and well-presented environment for our guests during the night. You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the hotel while delivering excellent customer service.
About the role:
As the Night Porter you will assist the team with ensuring the hotel standards are delivered to guests and customers at all times throughout the night. Some of the duties include:
- Providing a warm and professional welcome to late-arriving guests
- Carrying out regular security and safety checks throughout the property
- Setting up public areas for the following day
- Assisting with guest requests during the night
- Cleaning duties to ensure public areas are kept clean and tidy through the night
- Responding calmly and efficiently to any issues that arise during your shift
- Serving Food and Beverages in accordance with hotel standards on request by hotel guests
- Reporting all incidences during the night.
- Completion of Night Audit duties
- Highlight any items or areas that need maintenance
- Understanding responsibilities in relation to Fire Procedures, Health and Safety, Infection Control and Emergency Aid
The Successful Candidate will:
- Be friendly, dependable, and professional
- Be comfortable working independently and using your initiative
- Be able to remain calm and organised in a quiet night-time environment
- Have previous hotel or customer service experience is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided
- Be flexible to work overnight shifts, including weekends.
