As a Commissioning Engineer you will be responsible for the testing, verification, commissioning and energisation of substation electrical systems, ensuring all assets are safe, operational and compliant before handover.
Responsibilities:
Develop commissioning plans and procedures.
Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
Test protection relays and control schemes.
Conduct functional and system integration testing.
Perform SAT and FAT activities.
Assist with energisation and network integration.
Produce commissioning reports and test documentation.
Liaise with utility representatives and design teams.
Support fault analysis and troubleshooting.
Ensure compliance with utility and industry standards.
Requirements:
Qualified Electrician or Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience commissioning HV substations.
Protection relay testing experience.
Familiarity with ABB, Siemens or Schneider protection systems.
Experience of live network environments desirable.
Advanced fault-finding ability.
Strong understanding of protection and control systems.
Excellent technical reporting skills.
High attention to detail and safety.
