Crèche Cook – Full Time
Munroe Kids Club is looking for a friendly, reliable and organised Cook to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the children in our service and maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised kitchen.
Main Duties
- Prepare and cook nutritious, child-friendly meals and snacks each day
- Follow our established weekly menus
- Cater for children with allergies, intolerances and specific dietary requirements
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Complete daily HACCP and food safety records
- Monitor fridge/freezer and food temperatures
- Manage food stock, rotation and storage
- Prepare shopping/stock lists as required
- Ensure allergen information is kept accurate and up to date
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen throughout the day
- Work closely with the Manager and childcare team regarding meal times and children's dietary requirements
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, punctual and organised
- Confident preparing meals for groups
- Knowledgeable about food hygiene and allergens
- Able to work independently and manage their own kitchen
- Friendly and comfortable working within a busy childcare environment
- Passionate about providing healthy, enjoyable meals for children
Previous experience working as a cook is desirable. Experience within a crèche, school, nursing home or similar setting would be an advantage.
HACCP/Food Safety training is desirable, however training can be provided where appropriate.
