Requirements
- At least 2 years of Ramp experience is needed for this role.
- Qualification: Towing training (Valid Cert)
- Experience at Lead Agent level/Delta Airline experience desirable.

Role: To perform the main tasks outlined in a professional and courteous manner, focusing on delivering the highest standard of safety and customer service.
Main Tasks:
- Responsible for ensuring that all agents return to break facility after flight departure unless they are moving directly to another aircraft.
- Ensuring full compliance on baggage scanning. Handhelds are not optional. If they are deemed unserviceable on stand, this must be reported to ADO/DM at the time.
- You will be held accountable for the GSE brought to operate on their aircraft. You should brief your team in advance to ensure only the correct GSE is brought to the aircraft with no access pieces littering stands when not required.
- Consistent interaction is needed between BAT department and Head Loaders to achieve a smooth-running airside operation.
- The delegation of tasks in a turnaround operation in order to achieve a safe and on time departure of customer aircraft.
- Liaise with cargo runner when requiring outbound cargo or when inbound cargo is offloaded and ready for delivery to warehouses.
- Liaise with Baggage and Transport Supervisor to ensure bags will be delivered to stand in good time for loading. Should there be difficulties you must prepare a contingency plan to protect on time departures to our customers aircraft.
- To ensure their team complies with the airport authorities & company procedures regarding safety issues and other relevant policies.
- Ensure that a full pre-trip inspection of fleet prior to use on aircraft is carried out by your team
- To ensure your crew are wearing the correct issue of uniform & PPE provided.
- When a flight arrives out of schedule, ensure you have the maximum available resources to perform a quick turnaround. This is part of our contract to all airlines.
- To maintain contact in a professional manner with other departments within the company and also to our customers to ensure a smooth operation. It is unacceptable for any staff to make comments to any customers/airlines regarding staffing issues/communication.
- Ensure the ramp control supervisor and airside duty officer are informed of any issues on flights. Especially those which could potentially cause delays whether caused by SHP, the customer airline or another 3rd party.
- If you have an excess of staff (for example if the aircraft has a particularly light load or if aircraft is locked up and awaiting push) check with the airside control supervisor to see if the staff could be better utilised on another flight or function rather than standing around on stand.
- When allocated a trainee for shadowing, try to expand their knowledge as much as possible, this will benefit everyone. Location of steps, GPU’s, cargo baggage dollies and GSE parking areas, familiarising new staff with the operation of SHP equipment and ensuring they carry out their job in a safe manner is also important.
- Brief crew before arrival of departure time so all are aware of the time constraints.
- Ensure load plans are completed correctly & in good time. Note load location on load plan and ensure all flight documents are filled out as per airline requirements.
