Facilities Operations and Technical Supervisor
Location: West Dublin
Please note Overtime and On-Call allowance paid in addition to base salary.
The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a career in Facilities Management within the pharmaceutical industry. Based at a prestigious client site in West Dublin, the successful candidate will join a dynamic and supportive team, working primarily Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will have electrical or mechanical qualifications and skills to solve problems, to undertake and manage tasks including planned and reactive maintenance and contractor management.
This is a varied and rewarding position where no two days are the same. The role provides exposure to a wide range of facilities, maintenance and compliance activities within a GMP-regulated environment. The successful candidate will be proactive, eager to learn, and capable of working across multiple functions while developing new skills and gaining valuable industry experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Scheduling and supervising planned and reactive maintenance
- Contractor and team management
- Troubleshooting and fault finding on client’s systems
- Asset work order management / Asset register updates
- GMP documentation
- Support the facilities lead in budget management
- Health & Safety compliance
- On-call requirements
Scope
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in compliance with safety standards, company policies, GMP, quality requirements and relevant legislation.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with client stakeholders and service providers
- Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities to optimize asset reliability and performance.
- Manage, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians to ensure high levels of technical performance.
- Identify required materials, components and spare parts for maintenance activities, and support the sourcing and ordering of appropriate items to ensure timely completion of works.
- Conduct routine site walkdowns and inspections to identify defects, hazards and maintenance requirements.
- Support site shutdowns, projects and equipment upgrade as required.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and in accordance with approved procedures, permits and site requirements. Use the site Asset Management System to receive, update and close work orders in a timely manner.
- Must have IT skills with experience using Asset Management Systems and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word and Excel).
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, equipment history and asset information within electronic systems.
- Support the management and upkeep of the site asset register, including asset verification and data updates where required.
- Communicate maintenance activities, equipment issues, operational risks and improvement opportunities to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, operational efficiency and site performance.
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with site safety, quality and GMP requirements.
- Support audits and inspections by providing maintenance records and documentation as requested.
