Parts Operative
Irish Farm & Garden Machinery, based in Malahide, are a lawn and garden machinery distributor in Ireland and the UK. We have an extensive Parts Department serving over 800 trade customers in both countries.
This is a full-time role, based on site at our premises in Malahide, Co. Dublin.
** OWN TRANSPORT IS ESSENTIAL**
Role: The Operative will be reporting to the Technical Director and will be involved in all aspects of the Parts and Warehouse Department.
Duties:
- Picking and packing customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare shipments to customers for carriers.
- Receiving in delivery from suppliers and putting away.
- Unloading incoming deliveries and containers.
- Keeping paperwork up to date.
Requirements:
- Proven track record in a warehouse or Parts Department with experience dealing with customers.
- Enthusiasm and be a fast learner with excellent people skills.
- Forklift licence desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good understanding of computer packages (MS word, excel etc.)
- Great attention to detail.
- A good multi-tasker with strong organisational ability.
- Ability to work on your own initiative.
- Own car/transport is essential due to the location of our premises.
Hours of work:
Monday to Friday, 08:15 to 17:00.
